Tech Council of Maryland

Background:
The Tech Council of Maryland (TCM) is Maryland’s largest technology trade association which brings its 500 plus members access to technology industry leaders in Maryland, DC and Virginia.

Scott Oser’s Solution:
Developed and implemented a ?365-day per year communication plan.? First step was to interview all of the key players from TCM including staff and BOD members to get a majority agreement from the top management. In the next step, targeted and personalized copy was written for correspondences meant to make new and renewing members feel like they were acknowledged, appreciated and a highly valued member of the organization. This program included direct mail, email and telephone contact throughout the year made by various individuals of the organization. New and returning members reacted very positively to the changes and renewal rates have increased.
